The advance print design course was guided by Arnab Senapati during Dec 2022. The project aims at creating prints for saree layouts and introduction of play of colors. This covers concept building and later translating it into prints for pallu, body and border of a saree.

Makar Sankranti, a Hindu harvest festival celebrated in January symbolizes the end of winter solstice and the beginning of longer days. People gather to fly kites, exchange sweets and decorate the house.

Makar Sankranti is celebrated with various traditional sweets, such as tilgul, madata kaja, apallu, puta rekulu, laddoos, chikkis, and pithas.

Madatha Kaja is a traditional sweet delicacy from Andhra Pradesh, India. Kaja has unique flaky and crispy texture, with layers and folds which has inspired me to make print out of its cross section.
